Fehti

The writing system used by the Mártönérsi is the fehti. A detailed description about the fehti is in Chapter 2 in the book, Kessë K'Mártölammë. It explains the characters and their usage.

Briefly, the Fehte writing system is a logosyllabic system. It uses syllabograms representing syllables and logograms representing whole Mártönérse abstractions.

The Fehte script was usually written in blocks of text, which the blocks are read from right to left and top to bottom. Each block consists of multiple paired vertical columns reading from right to left and top to bottom in a zigzag pattern. It was also written horizontally from right to left.

The Fehti font is in the True Type file, FehteMartonerseRegular. The zipped file contains PDFs detailing the font and its usage. In addition, a file describes how to use the font from the keyboard and to format the text properly.
